The Ranch Horse
Association of Missouri was incorporated on November
11, 2006 and is certified with the Missouri
Secretary of State as a Non-Profit organization. We
represent the all-around performance horse; the
horse that can show in conformation, then go to work
under saddle, even work a cow or two! You do not
have to own a ranch, cattle or even a horse for that
matter to be a member.
We are a charter of the American Ranch Horse
Association. You can show, have fun and earn
national points and titles at the same time. We
allow all stock horse breeds to show together,
Quarter, Paint, Appy, etc. Your horse does have to
be registered. We also do alternative points for
the Paint and Appy associations. You show in your
everyday clothes, long sleeve shirt, pants, boots,
and a hat. Nothing shiny or fancy, just your
everydays. Horses are to be shown as naturally as
possible. No shaved ears, hoof black, banded manes,
or fake tails. Your horse shows in everyday ranch
gear also. No fancy silver saddles, or accessories.
Just good working tack.
Ranch Horse Shows offer something for everyone. Our
shows are 2 days. Saturdays are our rail classes.
They run like this: Conformation, Horsemanship,
Walk-trot, Ranch Riding, Showmanship, Trail,
Reining, Barrels and Poles.
Sundays are our Cattle Classes. Cutting, Ranch
Cutting, Working Ranch Horse, Ranch Roping, Team
Sorting, 2-Man Feedlot Sorting. Classes usually
start Saturday at 9:00 am and Sunday at 11:00 am.
Age divisions are as follows: Open, Amateur, Youth
18-14 and Youth 13 & under. Senior horses 6 and
over, Junior horses 5 and under. We focus on our
youth. We have a youth fund in the works for our
young members.
As an organization that looks to the future, we want
to keep our young members involved and educated.
They are our future. With horses and showing comes
responsibility, something we want to recognize and
reward in our youth.
Please contact us or drop by a show and check us
out.
We invite you to come and be a part of our Ranch
Horse Family.
