The Jefferson County Trail Riders
Club holds its shows at the Big River Saddle Park on Hwy. Y
about two miles east of Hwy. 30.
There is parking all around the show pen and many well
shaded spots for early arrivers. The show pen is large,
surrounded by chain link, but there is only a minimal,
unfenced, practice area. Many people arrive well before the
show to practice in the show arena.
Good sportsmanship and the welfare and safety of all is the
chief concern of every member. The club activities will be
geared to include in some way all members: adults and
children.
Concessions are always available, moderately priced and tasty.
Senior citizens (over 60) are admitted to the grounds free,
as are children under 12.
This show is renowned for the quality of the participants in
the youth speed classes. If you can win here, you can
probably win anywhere. |
