The purpose of this organization is to promote the
enjoyment of the Gaited Horse, in particular, the
Tennessee Walking Horse in its natural way of going – on
the trail, in the field and in the show ring. Therefore,
the use of any method that creates sensitivity or
soreness with the intent to enhance or alter the horse’s
natural gait is prohibited in our shows, clinics, trail
rides, or other events.
The association will promote the humane treatment of
horses, good sportsmanship and camaraderie among Gaited
Horse enthusiasts. It will promote flat shod shows,
encourage trail riding, and hold learning clinics/fun
shows.
As members of this organization, we will strive to
educate the general public, encourage and promote the
ownership of the ultimate pleasure horse – the Tennessee
Walker! Membership and events are open to owners or
riders of ANY gaited breed.
