  No Stallions (yearling colts permitted)  
  Negative Coggins required on all equines   Helmets recommended, not required  
      Pony riders at judge’s discretion.

  All gaited class horses must be trail shod/no pads/clips/bands.  
      Exhibitors under 18 must have parent or responsible party sign for them.  

St. Clair Saddle Club Rules and Regulations
1. The use of alcohol, controlled substances or profanity will not be permitted on club grounds.
2. Abuse of any animals will not be allowed on club grounds at any time.
3. Judges decision is final in all classes.
4. A horse is an animal over 54 inches tall, a pony is 54 inches and under. Mules under 54” may be shown as ponies.
5. The determining age of a rider will be their age as of January 1.
6. Exhibitors must show in over 50% of any class to be eligible for year-end awards
7. An exhibitor or their representative acting on behalf of an exhibitor, guilty of unsportsmanlike conduct, or challenging a judge, ring master, show official or member of show committee, in an abusive or obscene manner will not be tolerated; exhibitor will be disqualified from the show and asked to leave the club grounds. This also applies to all club activities.
8. All non-equine animals will be kept on a lead
9. Any equine can be entered only one time per class, exception are for classes 10 & 17.
10. All equine must be under control when entering and leaving the arena.
11. There will be no re-ride after a disqualification, including equipment breakdown.
12. Pole bending: each pole knocked down will be a 5 second penalty.
13. Barrel racing: a barrel knocked down is a disqualification.
14. Flag race: any knocked down marker or missed flag is a disqualification.
15. Whipping will be allowed in the arena only in a humane manner, with a humane whipping device. Whipping in front of the girth is not allowed.
16.Off course on any pattern is a disqualification.
17. Long pants and long-sleeved shirts required for all classes. Shorts and tank tops are not allowed in the arena on show day.
18. Equine will be run in the order they are signed up in. Running out of order will be a disqualification. 2 minutes/3 calls will be given to enter the arena after you are called.
