General Rules
1 AQHA Rules Will Apply
2 Long sleeved Western attire (jeans, boots, western hats or helmets) required for all Judged Classes. Game class exhibitors must wear a shirt with a collar, button & sleeve. No tank tops or sleeveless shirts at any time.
3 Ponies are 56 in. & under
4 Game class participants 17 and under are required to wear a helmet.
5 Novice Riders are riders who have not entered any open class. Novice riders will not ride at a gait faster than a trot. A faster gait in any class will be considered disqualified. Novice riders will no longer gain novice points if they enter an open class. Novice Points will be awarded to riders under 17 years of age. No horse points will be given.
6 Age division buckle points will follow the horse and rider as a team
   
 
   
NEMO Open Horse Show Series Agreement
1 All classes in the points series must be offered at each show
2  Payback may be determined by each club
3 Added money classes must be a separate class from a points class (riders should not be asked to pay a higher fee for a points class)
4 Novice riders may not ride at a speed above a trot.
a. In a game class there will be a "no time"
5 All speed event riders 17 and under must wear a helmet
6 Trail Glass
a. Will have 5 obstacles
b. Will have a back up
c. 2 min 30 sec time limit - rider will be excused after time is up
7 Flag Class
a. Run with two (2) barrels one at each end of arena
b. Pick up at far end, throw at near end
c. Flag must be in the barrel to receive time
8 Ribbon Race
a. 4 ft crepe paper ribbon will be used
b. Two riders will each hold one end of ribbon and ride around a barrel at the far end of the arena
9  Combination Race a. Pattern will be as follows
i. Weave through 3 poles
ii. Turn barrel
iii. Pick up flag
iv. Drop flag into barrel b. See picture
10 Clubs must turn in show results to the series secretary within one week of the show.
